Клацал сегодня телевизор. Не знаю даже, с чего я его включил вобще, но тем не менее, я даже немного рад, что сделал это. А все потому что на одном из местных телеканалов шел джазовый концерт неизвестного мне коллектива (хотя в джазе для меня практически все неизвестные люди). Оказался этот коллектив краснодарским биг-бендом Георгия Гараняна.
Георгия Гараняна называют самой харизматичной фигурой российского джаза, маэстро живого звука и, с легкой руки Святослава Бэлзы, сакс-символом эпохи. Народный артист России, лауреат Государственной премии России, лауреат отечественных и зарубежных джазовых фестивалей, член Союза композиторов и Союза кинематографистов, единственный джазовый музыкант, представляющий свой персональный абонемент (3 концерта в год) в Большом зале консерватории.
Имя Георгия Гараняна неотъемлемо связано с историей и сегодняшним днем российского джаза. Его саксофон звучал в оркестрах Юрия Саульского, Вадима Людвиковского и Олега Лундстрема, в многочисленных малых составах (самые знаменитые — «Золотая восьмерка» и трио «Гаранян-Крамер-Кузнецов»). Гаранян дирижировал Концертно-эстрадным оркестром Всесоюзного радио и симфоническим оркестром Госкино, руководил оркестром Московского цирка на Цветном бульваре, Московским биг-бендом и ансамблем «Мелодия», работал главным дирижером и художественным руководителем оркестра имени Олега Лундстрема.
Гаранян написал множество сочинений для эстрады и музыку к тридцати кинофильмам (среди них «Пышка», «Рецепт ее молодости», «Покровские ворота», «Вечерний лабиринт»).
Гаранян ведет активную концертную деятельность в России и за рубежом, выступает с собственными коллективами и в качестве приглашенного солиста, делает множество творческих проектов со своими постоянными партнерами — оркестром «Виртуозы Москвы», Денисом Мацуевым, Леонидом Пташкой, записывает СД, пишет музыку к фильмам и театральным постановкам, регулярно участвует в фестивалях «Крещендо», Звезды Байкала", международном музыкальном проекте «Российские музы — миру».
Он — автор учебника-бестселлера по аранжировке и создатель лекций о русской классической музыке на английском языке, номинант на премию Грэмми( за запись с американской группой «Орегон» и Большим симфоническим оркестром имени Чайковского), автор и ведущий программ «Джаз-клуб Георгия Гараняна» на радио «Культура» и «Джем-5» на телеканале «Культура».
С 1997 года Гаранян руководит Краснодарским биг-бендом. В 2004 году он возродил ансамбль «Мелодия», а в 2006 создал на его основе Биг-бенд Георгия Гараняна.
В 2004 году на аллее звезд у концертного зала «Россия» заложена именная плита-звезда Георгия Гараняна за вклад в Отечественную культуру.
У Гараняна даже есть оф.сайт — Там можно найти биографию, еще немного всякой чепухи и даже 11 мптрюшников. А вот с видюхами напряги, а хотелось бы посмотреть и послушать концерты краснодарского биг-бенда…
В общем, если вы, такой же, как и я (узнаете о рульных вещах через стопятьсот лет), рекомендую послушать всем, кто неравнодушен к джазу или просто меломан =)
